In an old flat complex where the 'Company' that owns the building is defunct, who is legally liable if a balcony falls or the roof leaks onto a lower neighbor’s property?
I own a 'share' in a flat in Milton Park. The original company secretaries are long gone. My neighbor above me has a leaking bathroom that is ruining my ceiling, but they say 'the company' should fix it. Since we don't have a Sectional Titles Act that forces a Body Corporate to act, how do I legally compel a neighbor to fix a common-property issue? I’m looking for an 'Undivided Shares' legal specialist.
