I installed a $5,000 5kVA solar system at my rented house. My lease is up, and the landlord says the panels and inverter are now 'permanent fixtures' attached to the property and I cannot remove them. Is this true?
I rent in Sentosa. When the grid power got bad, I paid for a full solar setup at my own expense. Now I am moving out, and the landlord is threatening to withhold my deposit or sue me for 'damaging the roof' if I unbolt the panels. I need a property manager to explain the legal definition of Tenant Improvements and whether solar panels are considered movable assets or permanent fixtures in Zim law.
