I am in Australia and hired a registered Project Manager to build my house. I sent $30,000 for roofing, but he used sub-standard timber and pocketed the difference. The roof is sagging. Can I report him to a regulatory body or is this just a police matter
I’ve been building my retirement home in Madokero via remittances. I trusted a 'professional' site manager. An independent valuation just showed he used cheap, untreated timber, and the roof needs to be redone. I know suing him civilly will take years. I want to know if the Construction Industry Federation of Zimbabwe (CIFOZ) or the engineering council has the power to revoke his license or freeze his assets.
