How can a Diaspora owner 'lock' their Title Deed at the Registry to prevent a relative with a General Power of Attorney from selling it, and does a 'Caveat' protect me better than a Special POA?
I’m in the UK and I’ve heard horror stories about 'General POAs' being misused by family members in Zim to sell houses behind the owner's back. I want to know the 2026 procedure for lodging a Caveat on my own property as a security measure. What are the legal costs, and does it prevent ZIMRA from issuing a tax clearance for a sale I didn't authorize?
